JAMB Gives update regarding rumours on sales of form for 2022 UTME/DE



JAMB has stated that all arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of the sale of the 2022 UTME/DE Application Documents in due course however the board is yet to fix any specific date for the commencement of the registration.

JAMB, therefore, warned the public especially prospective candidates for the 2022 UTME/DE against falling victims to fraudsters as the attention of JAMB has been drawn to the activities of unwholesome elements who had been misleading the general public on the purported commencement of the sale of UTME/DE application documents.

This was contained in a statement made available by JAMB’s head of media, Dr. Fabian. According to him, any information in circulation purporting to have emanated from the Board to the effect that sale of the 2022 UTME and DE forms has commenced, is not only fraudulent but is a calculated attempt by mischief makers to create unnecessary panic among prospective candidates for their own selfish ends.

“It should be noted that the commencement of the sale of the Board’s application documents in any given year has never been shrouded in mystery rather it is always a well-publicized undertaking in the print media as well as online and electronic platforms.

“The Board wishes to inform the general public that they would be sufficiently informed of the commencement of the sale of EPINs once approval has been granted by relevant authorities.

“Furthermore, the announcement of a suitable date to commence the sale would be accompanied by well-defined information on the procedures for the purchase of the e-pins, creating a profile, and where to go for biometric capturing, among other essential details.” The statement reads.

While we are still waiting for the form to come out, those who may want to obtain the 2022 UTME or DE form, are advised to do the following;

1. Obtain their National Identification Number (NIN). This is a major prerequisite for UTME registration. Without getting a NIN number, you will not be allowed to register for UTME/DE. Candidates yet to get their NIN are advised to check the procedure via this link.

2. Familiarise yourself with the JAMB Brochure and syllabus in order to know the right subject combination for your intended course of study and the schools that offer such courses as well as topics you are expected to cover under the subjects you will be taking for the exam.

3. Create his/her profile by sending the NIN to 55019 to create a profile for registration.

JAMB also said it has put adequate measures in place not only to checkmate those who may want to cheat but also strengthened all administrative procedures for the smooth prosecution of any candidate, centre or even staff of the Board found to have been involved in any infraction starting from the registration exercise.
