UNICAL Supplementary Post-UTME Screening Date, Time, Venues and arrangement for 2021/2022. Academic Session has been released. See the exam day, time and venue for all courses below. The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) Post-UTME Screening Schedule for the 2021/2022 academic session has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 19th 2022. The registration portal will be shut down on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 by 12:00 midnight. Candidates are advised to check the Portal for their venue and time of the CBT. Please note the following: 1. We advice candidates to go with their UTME result slip 2. The Post UTME exercise is Computer Based Test (CBT) 3. Any candidate who fails to take part in the screening exercise automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission. 4. JAMB Fixes New Date For The Commencement Of 2022 UTME/DE Registration The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board, JAMB says the 2022/2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination( UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) Registrations will now commence Saturday, February 19th and end on the 26th of March 2022.the board had earlier scheduled the exercise for February 12, 2022.However, in a notice on Tuesday, JAMB said the postponement was to enable “more fine-tuning of the upgraded and user-friendly procedures for candidates’ registration.It said the fine-tuning process will be concluded within the one-week extension period given before the commencement of registration.A statement by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, JAMB, said the development was also aimed at accommodating feedback from candidates and other stakeholders. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says it would soon embark on an indefinite strike to press home their demands one month after it suspended a nine-month-old strike. Dr Lazarus Maigoro, Chiarman of the University of Jos chapter of the Union, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Jos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the union suspended a nine-month-old industrial action in December 2020. NAN reports that ASUU embarked on an earlier strike over the failure of Federal Government to address all the issues raised in the 2009 agreement it entered with the union.Maigoro, who described the Federal Government as an “unfaithful spouse”, said the union would not relent until the standard of education is uplifted in the country.
