I almost gave up: Unilag student who bagged first class says he refused to quit

Another fresh University of Lagos, UNILAG First Class Graduate, Oluwapelumi Oluyide has revealed that he almost gave up in school because of the challenges he encountered.

According to Oluwapelumi, he almost gave up because when he started school, he was putting so much effort into his studies at the school but still recorded marks that wouldn’t really give him a first-class.

He, however, revealed that the pandemic that happened in 2020, gave him more time to restrategize.

Sharing his story on LinkedIn, he wrote:

“Yesterday on the 19th of January 2022, I graduated from the University of Lagos with a First Class degree in Business Administration.

“This really thrilling and exciting Academic Journey started 2016 and I spent 5 years in the university for a 4 year course as a result of the pandemic.

“Prior to the pandemic, I almost gave up because I was putting a lot of effort and I still fell below 4.5.

“However, the pandemic gave me a chance to restrategize and eventually through the help of God and Hard Work I was able to pull through.

“Many thanks to God almighty that helped me achieve this fit, and a special appreciation goes to my parents, friends turned families and the amazing people I met while pursuing my degree in the University of Lagos.”
